QuestionsCan't find your question? Try a Search or Submit a Question Removing rust from fuel tank in Automotive/Motorcycle applications (Fuel Tanks, Sheetmetal, Chassis, etc.) Hi,
my motorcycle has tons of rust in the tank. How and can I use your deoxydoesit product for this Answer Yes, absolutely! Deoxydoesit has been successfully used for derusting fuel tanks for many years now! Remove your tank drain the old fuel and flush the sediments with fresh water. Once this has been done, insure that there is no rust through on your tank. If you find weak spots where there may be rust through, you will most likely need a replacement fuel tank. If no rust through is found then, pour deoxydoesit into the tank and allow the product to work. This normally takes a few hours to a day to remove the most stubborn rust deposits. After all of the rust has dissolved, flush the fuel tank with frsh eater several times. Once this has been done allow it to air dry. Nect, put in some frsh gasoline and slosh it around as the final flush. Dump the gasoline out. and reinstall the fuel tank. Fill with fresh gasoline and you're set! The old deoxydoesit solution can be saved and reused for a future derustring project! Thanks and good luck! Deoxydoesit Team! |
